5月25日，应自动化学院副院长阮新波教授邀请，加拿大工程院院士、加拿大新不伦瑞克大学（University of New Brunswick）教授张榴晨来我院进行交流访问。
当天上午，张榴晨教授首先参观了多电飞机电气系统重点实验室和江苏省新能源发电与电能变换重点实验室,并对我系在航空电力系统、高效电能变换技术、微电网电能管理等方面的研究成果给予了高度评价。随后，张榴晨教授与相关老师进行了座谈，双方针对新能源发展等前沿问题进行了讨论，同时也针对后期在新能源发电和需求侧电能管理等方面的技术合作进行了探讨。
在电气楼学术报告厅，张榴晨教授做了题为“CreatingPower System Resources from Distributed Energy”的学术报告。张榴晨教授首先介绍了可再生能源系统的优点以及所存在的发电量波动的问题，并介绍了抽水、压缩空气、电池、飞轮和氢系统等多种储能系统所存在的局限性；随后，张教授提出了一种考虑负荷需求的分布式能源系统控制思路，基于分布式发电机(风能、太阳能等)、具有存储能力的客户负载以及电动汽车在内的电池等能量单元，并通过直接控制客户端负载提供热能存储容量（例如热水器、电蓄热器单元、冰制造和暖通空调等），将分布式发电系统、能源存储系统和直接负荷控制进行综合管理，并结合系统仿真和加拿大示范工程应用验证了控制方法可行性。最后张榴晨教授与参会师生针对报告内容进行了热烈讨论。
张榴晨院士简介：Prof.Liuchen Chang receivedhis B.Sc. degree from Beijing Jiaotong University in 1982, M.Sc. degree fromChina Academy of Railway Sciences in 1984, and Ph.D. degree from Queen’sUniversity in 1991, all in Electrical Engineering. He joined the faculty ofUniversity of New Brunswick in 1992 and is a professor in Electrical andComputer Engineering. He held the position of NSERC Chair in EnvironmentalDesign Engineering during 2001-2007, and was the Principal Investigator andScientific Director of the pan-Canadian Wind Energy Strategic Network (WESNet)during 2008-2014. He was a recipient of CanWEA R.J. Templin Award in 2010 forhis contribution in the development of wind energy technologies. He was thegeneral chair of the 2015 7th IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition(ECCE 2015) in Montreal, Canada, and 2016 8th IEEE International PowerElectronics and Motion Control Conference - ECCE Asia (IPEMC 2016-ECCE Asia) inHefei, China. He is a fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering (FCAE) and aVice President of the IEEE Power Electronics Society. He has published over 330refereed technical papers in journals and conference proceedings. His expertiseis in power converters, direct load controls and distributed generation systems.
